The project was started in March 21, 2010 to build a dating site which would be 100% free to use. The main priority was to create a fast website with easy navigation and features.



Display advertising was the only source of website monetization. The site was originally designed for desktop computers.

On February 27, 2016 the web server was upgraded to improve performance and increase data capacity.

On October 23, 2017, the site was upgraded to SSL encryption protocol, which ensures the security of communication and data transmission over the network.

In March 2018, the site was redesigned to better suit mobile users (phones and tablets) and to offer paid membership. The paid membership was offered to provide some additional functionality and ad-free experience of the website.

In October 2019, the website code was deeply optimized, and the website itself was moved to a new server to provide better performance, faster page loading, and allow more users on the website.

In August 2020, the maximum profile photo size was increased by more than 2 times to improve the image quality.

The site welcomes people aged 18 and over from any country and any sexual orientation. The main demography is heterosexual men and women in the 30-50 age group, the main countries in terms of the number of profiles are the United States (first place) and Canada (second). We work to ensure that the site remains a safe dating site free from scams and inappropriate content.

• We are checking 100% of profiles.
• We remove about 9% of all new profiles as inappropriate to the site (fake, meaningless or offensive profiles).
• Romance scam is a real problem in the dating industry and we take it seriously.


Future development of GoDatingSite.com.

• In 2020 the website started to get more users from UK, Australia and NZ. It is possible that UK can get second place on the website somewhere in the future and Australia can get very close to Canada with fourth place.

• The website interface and support is offered in English only. We are thinking about adding more languages in the future.
