My friends would describe me as being fairly good looking, intelligent, articulate, creative, well read, serious but fun person, great sense of humor. I try to stay in good shape but don't like going to a gym to work out. Exercise & working out have had a negative connotation to me ever since the military. BUT, I joined the Y a year or so ago and have been working out there and they are beginning to change my mind about xcercise. (LOL) In spite of this, I do like to walk, ride my bike (especially with someone special to ride with me), hike thru woods & fields with a camera, swim, & go hunting & fishing. Hunting with a camera now & fishing mostly catch & release. I am an avid nature & animal lover. In the past I raised and trained English Setters and Quarter & Appaloosa horses. Currently do not have any pets. "Semi-retired" & doing consulting work on a part (??) time basis. I Enjoy a wide variety of music. Have a good knowledge of & appreciation for art, enjoy writing from time to time & write mostly inspirational reflections & poetry. Have a deep faith & feel that a match would be like-minded. As it says in the book of AMOS-"Can two walk together except they be agreed?" That seems to be a very good rule of thumb for relationships. What I am looking for in a relationship is maybe an enigma and perhaps I will have difficulty finding that special match. Many would probably say I am too fussy, ~but~, if she is fussy as well, we won't be getting in trouble with the wrong one or discovering too late that "we hooked up with the wrong one"! Hoping to find a Fab, Fun, Girl Next Door type with a great sense of humor. Lighthearted & able to be serious as well, Entrepenurial spirit, good business head, able to relax & enjoy life~NOT a workaholic! A pleasant, attractive woman who knows who she is, comfortable in a variety of s ettings from barefoot & blujeans to formal & boardroom dress. Able to converse on a wide variety of subjects & not condemning of any who don't share her mental knowledge & agility. One who has dealt with & accepted the detours that life has thrown her way and is comfortable with where she is NOW. I believe the following qualities in both parties are very important for a relationship to be successful: Integrity~Respect~Honor~Faithfulness~Encouragement~Honesty~Transparency~Trust~Commitment~Determination~& last but not least, a final bit-a-glue, likeminded Faith & Chemistry that keeps the fires burning. A "SAFE" person will be your friend even tho you may both agree you are not a match, for one or maybe several reasons & THAT'S OK! I believe that you need to go slow at first until you can determine the level of safety developing in the relationship & then the ability & willingness of both to be transparent & communicate can determine the speed & comfort level of the relationship.
